I.Title: What You Don’t Know
II.Problem:Although there are already projects that contribute in making San Juan strong, sustainable, and safe in the past like in 2013 there is a project cal led “Reshaping San Juan City: Planning Toward a Future of Green Consciousness” there are still some issues that can be addressed based from all the data gathered and that would be the amount of trash and litter in the area, the unawareness of the citizens and those that have their everyday life in the city of what is happening to the environment, the large amount of buildings altogether to contribute to the lessening of green spaces, and the absence of renewable energy sources. What this proposal is mainly focus on the problem of the trash or litter scattered around almost anywhere and the unawareness of the people as most are clueless in terms of the environment added with some possible solutions for the other problems of the city.
III.Vision (with brief explanation): Not to fully solve the problems itself but to lessen the damage of the problem or improve the initial state from when the data was gathered for now and will develop in the next years to come. If we are talking about practicality then it is almost close to impossible to find a solution to these problems instantly like for example you cannot just simply remove the trash from the area as it takes maybe hours to be able to remove the trash and more would just keep on appearing, it needs the help of the citizens or everyone in order for this to work and that is why this aims to encourage the citizens to act upon the problems, the future of the city depends on the cooperation and willingness of the community. This proposal starts of as the buildup in which others can expound upon to improve it in the future in terms of solving the problems or to improve the state of the city itself. The project doesn’t and should not have a large change/impact instantly but rather something that starts of small but can survive and will happen over a long period of time and afterwards will be improved upon during the duration of the long period of time.
IV.General Goals: The general goals of this campaign proposal would be the following:to lessen the trash or litter percentage scattered around with the cooperation of the citizens, with that includes more awareness, and lastly finding at least 1 renewable energy source or another energy source aside from only Meralco. Another would be for other individuals of any age to supports this through participating in the strategies or the means to achieve these goals, also to expound on these ideas in what way can you contribute by thinking outside the box. Basically the goals consist of 3 main things which are to lessen, to raise, and to find.
V.Strategies: Some strategies would be through researching,practicing segregation, through means of social media, approval or working with the barangay heads and san juan government into some implementations that may help and at the same time will not cause any issues. Examples of such implementations would be trash bins inside and around the barangay that practices or shows to correct segregation in which some barangays are already doing, especially nearby the small stores as this is one of the reasons of plastic bottles or litter scattered around. encourage to not use plastic or anything disposable . Some renewable energy sources may be expensive like solar power but there are alternatives that can be used at maybe at first just in barangay of San Juan in order for it to be tested then later on can be implemented in the other areas of San Juan and that would be thru the use of
VI.Specific Strategies: Specific strategies include our website of our project advocacy campaign that includes this environmental campaign proposal in it along with 3 different environmental campaign proposals combined together in order to collect all the main points and best areas/ideas into the best possible proposal for the website. This is because of technology being present in our everyday lives and social media being one of the main ways to communicate can easily address the youth and the others into participating in this. Other specific way that this proposal can provide in other to ensure that the goals will be met is creating enticing infographics that show what is happening, what causes this, and can we do.
